Megan Thee Stallion and AmazeVR Sets' First-Ever' Virtual Reality Concert Tour

Megan Thee Stallion and AmazeVR Sets' First-Ever' Virtual Reality Concert Tour

The American rapper Megan Thee Stallion and virtual reality concert platform firm, AmazeVR, have announced a collaboration on a 10-city tour named Enter Thee Hottieverse.

Megan announced a virtual reality concert "tour" debut last Monday (February 28th).

Fans in ten cities throughout the United States will be able to gather in movie theaters, put on virtual reality headsets, and watch the rapper perform a pre-recorded performance.

The tour—dubbed "Enter Thee Hottieverse"—is created by AmazeVR, a West Hollywood virtual reality business that just received $15 million to provide VR performances to music enthusiasts.

During the pandemic, virtual reality concerts have gained popularity, and they are beginning to be recognized as a viable commercial possibility in the metaverse.

However, unlike other virtual reality shows, which allow viewers to watch from the comfort of their own homes, Megan and AmazeVR are wagering that viewers would want to meet in one location to share a virtual experience. The events will be the "first-ever" virtual reality concert tour, according to the company.

Briefly stated, purchasing tickets to the Hottieverse will provide fans with the opportunity to attend a performance at their local theater, where they will be equipped with "Hottie Mounted Displays" such as VR-enabled headsets. Megan will play a number of songs for the audience, and the AmazeVR team promises a smooth combination of reality and imagination that is both safe and enjoyable.

AmazeVR, which is aware of the current pandemic, has stated that both its virtual reality headsets and the theaters will be sanitized before and after each of Megan's performances.

The tour kicks off in Los Angeles on April 5th and goes through April 10th at the AMC The Grove 14 movie theater, with further stops in San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Miami, Charlotte, Washington, D.C., and New York. For more information, see the official website.

Ticket pre-sale begins March 2nd at 10 a.m. ET.
