Aaliyah's Posthumous Album 'Unstoppable' to Drop this Month

Aaliyah is among the well-known and respected artists in the music industry. She died in a plane crash on August 25, 2001, and was only 22 years old.

Years after her death, Aaliyah's upcoming after-death album Unstoppable is reportedly planned to drop any time this January.

Barry Hankerson, the late artist's uncle, recently appeared on The Geno Jones Show to announce the release of the album as well as numerous high collaborations.

Her most recent single, 'Poison,' featured The Weeknd. In a recent interview, Hankerson, who created Aaliyah's former record company Blackground Records and currently controls and owns all of her master recordings, announced that Aaliyah's fourth album would feature Ne-Yo, Drake Snoop Dogg, and Future.

After the success of the late artist collaboration with The Weeknd, Hankerson believes that a collaboration with the musicians previously stated would be great.

As part of his new partnership with independent label EMPIRE, he also stated plans to make the singer's complete discography available on multiple streaming platforms.

He also shared that the posthumous album would be released this month, although he did not provide a specific release date.

The fourth album is dedicated to Aaliyah's devoted fans, and the album is a special gift for the holidays. Her uncle believed it was the ideal time to release a previously unreleased offering from the late singer, years after the artist's passing.

What are your thoughts on Aaliyah's forthcoming studio album? If you're looking forward to Unstoppable, then keep an eye out for an official release date.
